Merry Christmas!!!
Before we all get too busy with the last minute shopping, the wrapping and all the festivities I want to take the time to wish you and yours a very Merry and Blessed Christmas!
I know at my parent’s house the parang will be playing, the punch au creme has been made, the ham and bread are baking and the black cake is soaking. These are traditions that we have shared in my family from generation to generation and they to me are what make christmas so special.
Regardless of what your traditions are take a moment to remember the reason for the season. There is no Christmas without Christ and he provides no greater reason to celebrate!
I wish you all the very best for the holiday season!!
God Bless & Stay Safe
xoxo

p.s In Trinidad, for Christmas we have parang which is a fusion of latin and carribean music. The word is derived from two Spanish words:’Parranda’, meaning ‘a spree or fête’ and ‘Parar’ meaning ‘to stop’. It originated over 400 years ago in Trinidad and Tobago during the spanish rule via Venezuela. There’s your tidbit of information for today
p.p.s I’ve included the video Little Drummer Boy. A version sung by my very dear friend, Mista Vybe. His version is phenomenal!!
