I have to apologize because I haven’t really had much time to update the site as often as I initially planned to. The reason is simple my reality is at war with my dreams. Confused? Let me explain.

 As children we spent hours a day dreaming and imagining. We made up imaginary friends that lived in an imaginary world where nothing other than perfection existed.

 Fast forward to adulthood. Although we spend a few minutes a day dreaming often it’s interrupted by work, kids or life in general. Our imaginary world has been replaced by a real one, filled with wars, politics and bills. Our imaginary friends have been replaced by real ones who in short can be far from perfect.

While it took me a very long time to realize and follow my dreams they are still interrupted by the reality of life. My concern though is for those who have stopped dreaming altogether.

 When I say dreams let me clarify. I don’t mean the nocturnal dreams you have, I mean the dreams you have that drive your ambition. The dreams that make you want to reach for the stars and success.

 As we all know it takes more than dreams to become successful in any field. It takes drive, perseverance, ambition, patience and a multitude of other characteristics. For some this may seem like too much. These are the people who ultimately settle in life. On the flip side, you have the people who will fight for their dreams, suffering defeats and failures all to get up and start over again knowing that the end result is worth it. These are the people who are successful.

 So what causes the separation? What causes people to opt out of following their dreams to pursue an ordinary life? I’m curious to know thoughts on this because there are many talented people that I know who have given up on their dreams and goals. My perspective is that we all have talents; there are some that choose to acknowledge their talents and embrace it. Alternatively, there are people who have talents but are too lazy to use them.
