Never have I had a Disney movie affect me as much as Finding Nemo. If you’re not familiar with the movie its about a father clown fish searching for his son. He enlists the help of a rather eccentric and overly optimistic fish to help him along his journey. Ironically the message of perseverance comes through with just three small words JUST KEEP SWIMMING.

See for a few months I was lacking the inspiration to write, and I figured that if I had nothing sensible to write then why even bother to put the pen to the paper or the finger to the keys.There was no one encouraging me or asking when my next piece was going to come out. No one to support me as I pursued my passion. That was my mistake.

In our lives there isn’t always going to be someone to push us and keep us motivated with our endeavours. We need to learn to be our own motivators and our own pushers of positivity.

So for today’s bit of morning love remember this, you are your own best friend and worst enemy. No one but you can stop you from achieving the success that you deserve. If you’re a student just say to yourself, one more class. If you’re a rapper say to yourself, just one more verse. As for me, I looked in the mirror and said just keep writing.
