Well day two has come and gone and what a test of patience it was. I ended the day with just over 4000 words, although once again I was far from my daily goal I think I’ve really started to make a dent in my story now.

I have finalized my plot and I am extremely happy with it. My characters are coming to life and I’ve begun to set the pace. Although I do think a little more character development is needed.

I am enjoying this whole experience a lot more than I actually thought I would. I really think its the challenge of having to write everyday and write a significant amount in order to maintain my stats and not fall behind. There’s something alluring about your word count, in fact I think that I’ve become quite obsessed with increasing my word count and as a result I keep on writing.

As for day two, I really was surprised with how it turned out. With both my kids not co-operating I didn’t think I would be able to get much if any writing done, especially being dead tired by the time they both went to bed. But low and behold the minute I got to typing and let my story flow I was at 4100 words before i even began to feel sleepy again.
