There comes a time in everyone’s life where things may not be going as planned. You may be stuck in a negative rut for whatever reason. It could be financial, emotional or even depression. It’s hard to come out of a negative state of mind, especially when you don’t see your situation improving in a timely manner.

Maybe you’re one of the millions of people in the world like me who are working tirelessly to achieve their dreams. Working day in and day out to gain even one step closer to their dream. Out of all the frustrating situations we may find ourselves in, this has to be the most stressful. It’s heartbreaking to know that you’re working endlessly and yet it never seems like you’re reaching your goals fast enough.

Well, I think I just may have found the clue to save us all. LOVE. Yup, a four letter word with power that knows no limits or has no end.

I found myself frustrated with the whole experience of editing, re-writing and trying to ensure that my novel that I had poured countless hours and endless amount of ink into was perfect. Only to be told that it still had work to finish, pieces to be fixed. I was on the brink of exhaustion, frustration and standing toe to toe with my number one demon- stress.

Then, lo and behold I took the weekend off. I did no work, I picked up no pen. I surrounded myself with love. My kids, my family, my friends. I took the time away from work and replaced it with positive energy and love. The results of one weekend off were astounding. I felt renewed in every way, shape and form. My spirit refreshed.

There was no talk of books, no frustration over the process. All of that had flown far away with the countless hours I spent laughing.

So, the lesson is this: when you need to re-group the ultimate tool is love. There is nothing greater to renew your spirit.

So for today’s dose of morning love, push all of those negative thoughts aside. Take a break from whatever is bothering you and surround yourself with the ultimate tool for healing…love.
